The first trailer for Diana, the biopic about Princess Diana starring Naomi Watts has been released. The film gives a greater look inside the relationship she had with heart surgeon Dr Hasnat Khan.
The Oliver Hirschbiegel-directed film shows the fallen royal falling in love and trying to find happiness in a world of chaos. It also shows her passion, trying to help people.
In an official statement, producers say it will "introduce a time in the Princess’s life that was uniquely important in shaping her final years, fulfilling her search for true happiness and sealing her legacy,” The Telegraph reports.
The trailer shows how the movie deals with showing how Diana and Khan dealt with intense media scrutiny over their blossoming relationship, CBS News reports.
After breaking up with Khan, she dated Dodi Fayed, who she died with in 2007 in a fatal car crash.
Diana will hit theaters in the U.S. on Oct. 10 and in the UK on Sept. 20.
