Hugh Grant is the latest star to join director Guy Ritchie and Warner Bros.’ film adaptation of the 1960s series The Man from U.N.C.L.E. Grant will take a supporting role in the project.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Grant has been cast as the leader of British Naval Intelligence.

Warner Bros. is making sure to pack the film with stars, especially after Tom Cruise dropped out in May. Armie Hammer, who is looking to bounce back after The Lone Ranger flopped, joined in April and Man of Steel’s Henry Cavill was picked to replace Cruise.

Hammer has been cast as Illya Kuryakin, while Cavill will play Napoleon Solo. The two work for the mysterious United Network Command for Law and Enforcement.

Cinemablend notes that the two female lead roles have been filled by Alicia Vikander and The Great Gatsby’s Elizabeth Debicki.

Ritchie is working with his Sherlock Holmes collaborator Lionel Wigram, who wrote the script. John Davis is producing.
