Automatic is the third full-length album from alternative reggae rock group Iration. Automatic has reached success on the iTunes charts and getting airtime on the radio.

The band consist of front man and guitarist Micah Pueschel, drummer Joseph Dickens, bassist Adam Taylor, engineer Joseph King, and keyboardist Cayson Peterson. The guys all met while growing up in Hawaii, and formed Iration when they reunited in Santa Barbara, California.

About the album Pueschel told LA.com, “Automatic is an album that most completely describes our music. It is eclectic in its songs and covers the full range of styles that we pride ourselves in being able to play. Love in all its forms, is and has always fueled our music: love of life and its mysteries, love for your home, love of nature, and of course love between people. Automatic is no different. The title track ‘Automatic' is a tribute to our fans. We owe them everything.”

Automatic has bass-driven grooves and dance inspired reggae rhythms that transitions between paces and styles throughout the album. The album opens with the title track “Automatic” that embodies the essence of reggae. The song has a rock hard dub-kick that has rhythmic bass lines that melds flawlessly with Pueschel’s entrancing vocals. It is an instant favorite with it’s relaxing yet jam worthy vibe that features catchy lyrics.

The album shifts to a heartfelt and relatable song with “Burn.” Pueschel’s vocals channel a blues vibe as he pours his heart into the lyrics as he sings about love. It stays close to the reggae sound, but incorporates more rock elements with the riveting guitar solo.

Lincoln Parish, guitarist from Cage the Elephant, is featured in the songs “Show Me” “Home” and “Milk and Honey.” The album shifts to a more dance funk sound with the track “Milk and Honey.” It’s a fun and vivacious song that will have you dancing along with the beat. “Milk and Honey” showcases the versatility and talent of Iration as a band.

Overall Iration doesn’t necessary fall into one music genre since their music is a fusion of pop, folk, rock, reggae and blues with a touch of hip-hop, and funk. Automatic has sixteen tracks that is a mixture of music genres, yet has a consistent beat that will have playing it on repeat.
