The wonderful and loveable Harry Potter series celebrates its 15th anniversary, and in celebration writer J.K Rowling admitted that she misses Professor Dumbledore the most following the series’ conclusion.

"I feel like I wrote Dumbledore from the back of my head, “ Rowling explained on Good Morning America as quoted by Digital Spy. "Sometimes he said things and told Harry things that I only knew I knew or believed until... I saw that I had written them down in the voice of Dumbledore.”

"He was the character who was hardest to leave for me,” she continues. “He was the person who I'd have come back physically and sit and talk to me. It would be Dumbledore."

Rowling admits that Dumbledore is the one character she would bring to life as he is “the one I miss the most.”

The iconic professor, played by both Richard Harris and Michael Gambon led Hogwarts in a series of troubled times. Dumbledore became more of a father figure to key character Harry Potter throughout the series until his death in Half Blood Prince.
