Boston mob boss James “Whitey” Bulger was convicted on Monday on charges of racketeering, conspiracy and murder.

Men who had formerly worked with Bulger, such as Stephen “The Rifleman” Flemmi and Kevin Weeks, testified against the crime boss, describing killings that Bulger was either directly or indirectly involved in, CBS News reports.

Bulger did not testify during his trial, saying “"I feel that I've been choked off from having an opportunity to give an adequate defense […] My thing is, as far as I'm concerned, I didn't get a fair trial, and this is a sham, and do what youse [sic] want with me. That's it. That's my final word."

According to The Boston Herald, Bulger was found guilty of 11 of the 19 murders he was accused of, in addition to his racketeering, conspiracy, drug, extortion and money laundering convictions. He faces a maximum sentence of life plus 30 years, but any sentence will likely be a life sentence for the 83-year old.
