Jennifer Garner spoke up recently about her previous marriage to actor Scott Foley. Now married to Ben Affleck, the actress explained her relationship with Foley ended and how she still thinks well of her previous beau.

Us Weekly reports that in the September issue of Allure, Garner reflected on her marriage to her co-star TV show Felicity. Garner and Foley, who met after she guest starred on the show in 1998, got married in October 2000. The marriage last four years. Garner filed for divorce, citing "irreconcilable differences."

Now 41, Garner says, "We were full-on grown-ups, but looking back I'm aware we did not know what hit us." Garner mentioned that she thinks well of Foley despite the fact that she is divorced from him, saying, "We didn't have a shot. He's a really good guy, and we just imploded."

Both have now moved on and started families with their current partners. A few months after her divorce settlement was finalized, Garner started dating her Daredevil co-star, Ben Affleck, according to The Huffington Post. She got married to him in June 2005. They now have three children: Violet, Seraphina, and Samuel. Foley married Marika Dominczyk in June 2007. They have two kids: Malina and Kellar.

Garner, now married to Affleck for seven years, has previously talked about how important it is for her to preserve her identity whilst staying married. She said, "It can be too much. I think especially for women, they can really lose their identity and just become 'wife of.'"
