AJ arrived drunk at the Quartermaine mansion. Michael was there and told him that he thought he knew what happened, but AJ told him that he didn’t. Michael then asked AJ what he took out of the safe and where he went, but AJ was too drunk to answer and passed out. Then, Ava came in and wasn't surprised that AJ was passed out after she saw him knocking back drinks at The Floating Rib while complaining about Connie. Then, Julian called and wanted to see her and she left, thankful that for Michael's sake AJ got home safely without hurting himself or anyone else. As AJ woke up, Michael promised they would rebuild what he had lost. Michael then left to get AJ some coffee to help him sober up and AJ saw the open safe.
At GH, Spinelli told Lulu and Dante that he and Ellie were fighting about his baby. He paused before clarifying that he was fighting with Ellie over the baby he hoped to have one day. Dante then asked Spinelli to take the dispute somewhere else. Once alone, Ellie wondered why Spinelli didn't tell them the truth. He told her that he couldn't smash their hearts into pieces. She then questioned whether he intended to hide the truth from them forever. He replied that the truth should have come out when she found out. Ellie then cried about how she kept the secret because she was scared she would lose him if he found out and begged for his forgiveness. He replied that he couldn’t look at her, much less forgive her.
Elsewhere in the hospital, Mac bumped into Dante and Lulu and told them what had happened to Maxie after surgery. Lulu admitted to thinking that Maxie was getting attached to the baby. Then, Dante got called away to a shooting that Sonny called in. Once alone with Lulu, Mac then told her that Maxie thought Spinelli was the father. Lulu was confused and worried once she heard this and offered to stay but Mac promised to let her know if there were any changes. Lulu then found Spinelli outside the baby's room. They both agreed that she was beautiful.
In another hospital hallway, Sam hugged Silas when she ran into him after she told him that a donor for Danny had been found. He was surprised to hear Derrick Wells was the donor match.
In a hospital elevator, Olivia saw blood spilling in all over the floor. Then, the doors opened and she saw Connie bleeding on the floor. She begged a nurse for help but the nurse only saw Olivia standing over a 'Caution: Wet Floor' sign.
Nearby, Alexis thought Derrick/Julian looked like he'd seen a ghost as she was telling him the story about the night she spent with Sam's father. He covered saying that he just remembered something and was about to tell Alexis more when they heard Olivia's cries for help. Olivia then told them that she knew something had happened to Connie. Alexis tried to calm her down, but when they couldn’t reach Sonny or Connie, Alexis offered to drive Olivia to Crimson.
Meanwhile, still at the hospital, Ava met Derrick/Julian and he told her that he was Danny's grandfather. Ava thought the story was vague but Derrick/Julian told her that he remembered his one night with Alexis. Then, Sam approached Derrick/Julian and Ava to introduce them to Silas. Sam then asked Derrick/Julian if he’d changed his mind since there was something different in the way he was looking at her. He covered and apologized for staring and said that he was just glad that he could help her Danny. Sam was thankful and hugged him before going to see Danny with Silas. After, Ava warned Derrick/Julian that he couldn’t get close to Sam or it would expose that he was really Julian Jerome.
At Crimson, Sonny found Connie lying in a pool of blood on the floor. She whimpered that she knew he'd come. He told her that he wanted her to hold on. She then reached out to him and told him that she never stopped loving him. Sonny wanted her to tell him who did this but she was too weak. Sonny then went to call and an ambulance and meanwhile, Connie attempted to write something out on the floor in her blood. Sonny then cradled her in his arms and begged her not to leave him. As he reached for her hands, he saw the letters AJ written in her blood and remembered that AJ had been threatening Connie. Then, Connie died.
Later, Olivia became hysterical when she arrived at Crimson with Alexis and they were stopped by two officers. Alexis knew Connie was gone and Dante held Olivia back to keep her from seeing the crime scene. Dante then asked where Sonny was and Alexis warned Dante to be careful since Sonny never handles grief well. An officer thought Sonny went after the shooter when he showed Dante where Connie tried to identify her assailant.
Back at the Quartermaine mansion, AJ woke up when Sonny kicked his foot and accused him of killing Connie. AJ replied that he didn’t even know she was dead and pleaded his innocence but Sonny pointed a gun at AJ ready to kill him.
At GH, Carly left Michael a message asking him to call when he found AJ. Nearby, Morgan helped Kiki pass out 'Missing' flyers to find Franco. Ellie saw them and said she was sorry, but she hadn't seen him then Carly saw them while looking for AJ in the ER. They then let her know about Franco's disappearance.
Meanwhile, on the hospital roof, Franco remembered Kiki telling him that he wasn’t her father and then he climbed up on a ledge before sitting down on the steps. When Ellie stepped out on the roof for air Franco told her it was a long way down. She yelled at him for scaring her and warned that he shouldn't be on the roof since it was dangerous and his loved ones might be concerned about him. He replied that didn’t think he had any loved ones, but Ellie thought otherwise and showed him the flyer. Then, they both commiserated with each other over having lost the only person in their lives that they cared about in their lives. He then joked that they were kindred spirits and asked what she did to lose her boyfriend. She replied how she had lied and didn’t think she'd be forgiven for ruining six lives. Franco agreed that it must be a serious lie to ruin that many lives. He then advised her that she had once choice and told her that she should jump off the roof. Ellie asked how that would help and told Franco that his story didn’t impress her. She then added that he was free to mope around about all the wrong he'd done to others but she was going to fix her life. Then, Ellie went back inside leaving Franco still on the roof. Carly then overheard Ellie tell a nurse about Franco being on the roof. She joined him there and warned him that security was on the way. She then told him that she knew about Kiki and Silas. He replied that wanted to be Kiki's friend and that now he didn’t know who he could prove himself to now. Carly asked, "What about me?" She then told him that it was time for him to get back on track and if he was a changed man, like he claimed he was, she wanted him to make her believe it. He paused then followed her back inside.
Outside the baby's room, Lulu updated Spinelli on Maxie's condition. He was shocked remembering that she was fine when he watched her from the viewing area. Lulu then told him of Maxie's claim that the baby was hers and his. Lulu said that she thought Maxie said he was the father because she still had feelings for him. He didn’t believe so. Lulu understood why he thought so since he was with Ellie. Spinelli then confessed to Lulu that he and Ellie were over. Lulu thought Ellie was really good for him, but he replied that he wasn’t so sure. Still, Lulu told him that she hoped they’d work things out. Later, Ellie wanted to speak say her peace to Spinelli. She found him and confessed that she loved him and wasn’t planning on giving up on them. Despite her affirmation, he got on the elevator without saying a word and left her behind.
Sonny made AJ get up on his feet at the Quartermaine mansion. Sonny then said that since AJ killed Connie, he will kill him. He gave him a chance to confess before “ending his miserable life.” Sonny then told AJ that he was going to put a bullet in him like he did to Connie and ordered him to confess so he would die with a clear conscience. AJ wouldn’t. Sonny then hit him with the gun and pressed it up against his head. Meanwhile, Dante arrived looking for AJ. Michael was shocked to hear that Connie had been murdered and didn’t believe AJ did it but Dante told Michael that he saw where Connie wrote AJ's name in her blood. Michael was afraid that Sonny planned to come there looking for AJ when he heard that he was the one who found Connie. They then found Sonny ready to shoot AJ. Dante tried to get Sonny to stop, but he refused, knowing there was nothing Dante can do to stop him. Then, Michael asked, "Not even me?" Sonny then started to cry and told Michael that he had to make AJ pay. Michael begged Sonny not to kill AJ and reminded Sonny that he, Morgan, Dante and Kristina would lose him to prison if he killed AJ and he didn’t want to lose both of his fathers. Michael then told Sonny that he would be nothing to him if he killed AJ and asked him to put the gun down. Sonny finally put the gun down and left AJ to Dante. AJ tried to thank Michael but Dante took him away.
At Crimson, Olivia hoped Dante would be make whoever killed Connie pay. She then tried to rush by an officer to see her cousin one last time. She got hysterical at seeing Connie lying there dead and notices 'AJ' was written in blood. She then called her visions a curse because they couldn’t save Connie. Distraught, Olivia hoped Dante was late and that Sonny would kill AJ. She then told Alexis that she and Connie fought the last time they talked and now she could never make it right. Alexis then embraced a distraught Olivia. Sonny returned to Crimson as they took Connie's body away.
Tracy called Luke from the Quartermaine mansion to share the good news about her being CEO of ELQ again but he didn’t answer and she was beside herself thinking he was dead, but he appeared on the patio and told Tracy that she should have known better than to make assumptions. He added that he was a man of his word and came back for Lulu. Tracy was happy to hear of the baby's arrival but rejected his congratulations on taking over ELQ because she mad knowing he was been alive and had been ignoring her messages. She then said that since he was there he must have found the cure. Luke told her that he hadn't, that the clock was ticking and if he wanted to see his grandbaby's first birthday he had to hit the road again but he didn't want to leave without seeing her first. Then, they kissed.
Britt woke up at Wyndemere and asked Nikolas if he was Batman after seeing the place. He did admit that he has a butler named Alfred. She thanked him for his help since things with Patrick were complicated. He told her that he was happy to help a friend, no matter what Elizabeth or others thought about her, he chose to trust her if she honored that trust by telling him the truth. She agreed to do so. She then told Nikolas that she had nothing to do with her mother poisoning Duke but admitted to wanting to help her mother get away since she had always looked out for her, especially when it came to the baby. Then, Lulu called to tell Nikolas that he was an uncle again. Britt was happy for him and sent him to the hospital. Once she was alone, she looked through Nikolas' family albums. She said aloud that she trusted him and wanted to tell him the truth about Patrick not being the baby's father.
At GH, Lulu encouraged Laura to invite Scott to visit her grandbaby. She replied that she’d be happy to if she knew where he was. A few moments later he was waiting outside. Laura told him that she upset that she hadn’t heard back from him. He reminded her that she ran off with her ex, so he ran off with his, but said it was business related. Laura then told Scott that she was done helping Luke and was one hundred percent committed to their marriage. He told her that he didn’t believe she was and neither was he. He then told her that he wanted a divorce. She replied that everything she did was for Lulu and that she and Luke didn’t fit anymore. Scott shot back that he didn’t believe they fit either, that he wasn’t enough for her and he was finally letting her go. He then said that he planned on staying in Port Charles as the DA. Then, Luke arrived to see their tearful goodbye.
Once Scott left, Laura told Luke that she was okay and ignored a call from her doctor in Paris for her yearly wellness visit. He reminded her important it was for her to stay well. Lulu overheard, saw Laura wiping tears away and wanted to know what was going on. Laura only told Lulu about her wellness visit. Lulu told her that it was essential for her to go and make sure she stayed well and then Laura went off to make travel arrangements. Once she was alone with Luke, Lulu asked him if he was ever going to mention that he was dying. She added that needed him to keep showing up especially now. He told Lulu that he loved her but wasn’t going to make any promises.
Nearby, Sabrina and Patrick were greeted with Felix's news that Britt was in jail. Patrick realized Obrecht had been working with Faison but he was more upset at Felix's eagerness to celebrate Britt’s incarceration since his child was at risk. Felix apologized and Sabrina supported Patrick's decision to go help Britt. Once they were alone, Sabrina admitted to Felix that if Patrick wasn't there she would have high-fived him about Britt being arrested but this wasn’t the way she wanted to get even with her.
Elsewhere, Michael stopped by to tell Elizabeth about AJ. Elizabeth didn’t believe AJ could be responsible for Connie’s murder. Michael then told Elizabeth how Connie indicated AJ’s involvement after Sonny found her. Then, she asked Michael if he thought AJ did it. Michael replied that he only remembered how angry AJ was at Connie. Elizabeth remembered AJ threatening Connie too. Later, Nikolas found her crying. Then, she told him about Connie and AJ.
At the PCPD, Anna asked AJ point-blank, "Did you murder Connie Falconer?" Dante tried to aggravate AJ's hangover before showing him photos of Connie dead at Crimson. Then, AJ threw up and told them that he didn’t remember anything. He added that he knew Tracy owned a gun that she kept locked up in a safe at the mansion. Then, AJ paused when he remembered opening the safe. Anna asked him if he cared to share his thoughts, but he said that he’d wait for his attorney. Once he was alone, he remembered taking the gun out of the safe and said, "I did it."
Outside, Patrick arrived and Anna answered his questions about Britt. Anna let him know that Nikolas had paid her bail when Patrick became worried about her giving birth in jail. Patrick then went to Wyndemere and found Britt there.
When Dante arrived at the Quartermaine mansion, Tracy wondered what kind of trouble AJ was trying to get her into. Dante inquired about her and she was surprised to find it missing when she opened the safe.
In her hospital room, Maxie held the baby she gave birth to. Then, Lulu appeared and told her that would she take her baby now. Then, Maxie woke up, frantic. Maxie tried to get out of bed but Mac came in, stopped her and wanted to know why she was frantic. Maxie replied saying that she wanted Felicia. Mac then asked if she remembered what happened after surgery. He told her that she kept on saying that Dante and Lulu's baby was hers. Maxie wanted to know more about what she said and Mac added that she said Spinelli was the father as Spinelli eavesdropped from outside the room. Maxie couldn’t believe she said that as Mac tried to calm her and asked if she knew that the baby belonged to Dante and Lulu. Maxie replied that she knew that and then Mac exited to go get her a milkshake. Once he was gone, she started to get out of bed again. When Mac came back, he found Maxie gone.
Sabrina entered a vacant hospital room and found Ellie in a corner crying. She told her that she didn’t want to talk, after Sabrina asks why she was weeping. Ellie then said she hadn't been truthful to Spinelli. Sabrina told her to give Spinelli some time and equated Ellie's situation with Britt and Patrick's. Ellie said the situations weren’t similar and it had to do with Dante and Lulu's baby. She told Sabrina about wanting to know what Maxie was hiding but now she regretted it.
In the hospital waiting room, Julian talked on the phone with Ava about Danny being his grandson and that he had to tell Sam that she was his daughter.
Elsewhere in the hospital, Sam was excited to tell Molly and Rafe Jr. that a bone marrow donor had been found for Danny. Molly asked who Derek Wells was. Alexis replied that he was a man with a conscience. Rafe Jr. and Molly then overheard Derek/Julian’s phone call as they were coming out of Danny's hospital room and Rafe Jr. inquired what Derek/Julian was saying about "people finding out who he was." He covered and then they thanked him for what he was doing for Danny. He asked them who they were and Molly told him that she was Sam's sister. Molly then told Derek/Julian to go and say hi to Danny. "You'll love him." Later, Derek/Julian entered Danny's room and Sam introduced him to Danny. He asked where his father was and Sam told that Jason died. He apologized for her loss then asked to hold Danny. He cradled him in his arms and told Sam that it would be an honor for him to save Danny's life. Sam thanked him and left to go find Silas to ensure Derek/Julian had the go-ahead for the transplant. Once they were alone together, Alexis tried to make small talk. Then, he noticed the photo of him and asked Alexis if she was investigating him. She replied that she was curious.
Nearby, Lulu looked at her baby in the incubator as Spinelli watched from the window. Then, Nikolas arrived and asked Spinelli if everything was okay. Spinelli lied to him and left in a hurry. Nikolas then went into Dante and Lulu's baby's hospital room and asked what the baby's name was. He told Lulu that he was partial to the name Nicola. Lulu laughed and said that she and Dante would consider it. Lulu was then shocked when Nikolas told her that Britt was staying at Wyndemere. Nikolas said that he was aware of her bad deeds but took into account what Britt had done for Lulu and Dante. Lulu replied that it was more complicated and told him about Maxie believing their baby was hers. Lulu then added that she thought Maxie was getting too attached by calling the baby Georgie and told him how Maxie said the baby was hers and Spinelli’s. Nikolas then told Lulu about how Spinelli was emotional at the window looking at the baby. Lulu then said that she believed that something wasn't right. Lulu then Nikolas about Luke's condition being caused by Helena.
Back in the waiting room, Sam told Spinelli that they had found a donor for Danny. He was overjoyed and they hugged over the wonderful news. She could tell he wasn’t acting right and asked him what was wrong. He told her that she shouldn’t worry. Later, Maxie entered Dante and Lulu's baby's room.
Britt asked Patrick why he was at Wyndemere. He replied that he knew what she and her mother had been up to. Patrick then confronted Britt about Dr. Obrecht. Britt fired back that she wasn’t her mother. Patrick told her that he couldn’t believe that she had hid the truth from him all this time and wanted to know why she didn't tell him about Faison, Duke's poisoning, Robert being in a coma and wondered what else she was hiding. Britt yelled back that she had no idea what her mother had been up to. Patrick then said that he believed she had been working with her mother the whole time. Patrick then told Britt that he met Dr. Obrecht after the Nurses' Ball at the airport. Britt continued saying that she didn’t know anything but then she finally admitted that she and her mother had been conspiring and that she had to do what her mother told her to. He replied her mother was dangerous and that he would make sure that Dr. O never got close to his child because he was going to fight for full custody of the baby. Britt then yelled that she wasn’t responsible for her mother and that she wasn’t a threat to the baby. Patrick couldn’t believe that Britt was still lying. Britt then said that she had rights as the mother and that he wouldn’t get away with it. He said that he would and as he stormed out, Britt screamed that he wasn’t the baby's father.
At the PCPD, AJ and Michael tried to piece together what happened the day Connie was murdered. AJ told Michael that he remembered taking Tracy’s gun out of the safe. AJ then said, “I think I killed Connie. I have to confess.”
At the hospital, Lulu and Dante reconnected and he apologized for being away from her and the baby for so long but he had a lot to tell her. Lulu replied that she had a lot to tell him too.
Meanwhile, Maxie went into Lulu and Dante’s baby’s room. Then, a nurse came in and asked Maxie if she was the baby’s mother. Maxie said that she was.
At the Quartermaine boathouse, Morgan tried to convince Kiki to go swimming with him. She told him that she wasn’t in the mood. He then asked if she was still worried about Franco and reminded her that Carly told him that Franco was back in his room at the hospital. Kiki thought Franco might be physically okay but not emotionally since he just learned that she wasn’t his daughter after believing for 20+ years that she was and how she felt bad that her mother had lied to him over and over again. Then, Ava showed up. Kiki told her that she couldn’t stand the sight of her and wanted her to leave. Ava replied that she wanted them to know that the cops were on the grounds searching for a murder weapon and explained what happened to Connie. Morgan was worried about Sonny but became even more upset when Kiki worried for Michael's sake over AJ being a suspect. Kiki then left to go see Franco despite Ava not wanting her to. Ava then wanted to talk to Morgan and told him that she was upset that he didn't contact her before his and Kiki’s wedding. He admitted to panicking after the news story broke being afraid that Kiki would run to Michael once she knew they weren’t related. Ava then promised Morgan that his marriage was safe unless she decided to tell Kiki the truth that he knew before the story broke. Later, Morgan left the boathouse while leaving a message for Sonny that he was on his way. He saw a gun on the ground when he dropped his phone.
At PCPD, Michael advised AJ to wait for Diane before saying anything let alone confess. AJ disagreed and wanted to speak to Anna to confess, but then Diane arrived. She overheard their conversation and told AJ that she was certain that the last thing he should do was use the 'C' word…’Confess.’ She then asked Michael about the only words that should be said to law enforcement and was ecstatic that he remembered her advice. AJ was still adamant about confessing and told Diane about taking the gun out of the safe. Diane then wanted to know if he remembered shooting Connie. Diane then asked Michael to wait outside before questioning AJ further. Once they were alone, AJ confided in Diane that he remembered going to see Connie and that bits and pieces were coming back to him. He added that he was angry and wanted Connie to pay so he threatened her with the gun. Diane then asked if he pulled the trigger. He said he couldn’t remember and Diane thought that if he couldn’t remember pulling the trigger and the PCPD didn’t have a weapon, their case against was presumptuous at best. She then told AJ that it was her job to find another reason why Connie wrote his initials in blood.
Outside the interrogation room, Kiki arrived and hugged Michael. He told her that he worried that AJ really did kill Connie.
At the hospital, Dante told Lulu about Connie’s murder. She cried and remembered her first day on the job at Crimson.
In the baby's room, Maxie was caught by a nurse trying to pick the baby up. She told the nurse that she was the baby's mother when she asked. The nurse then offered to help Maxie breastfeed the baby. Then, Spinelli interrupted. Worried about what Maxie was doing, he returned the baby and scurried Maxie back to her room. Later, the nurse was confused when Lulu and Dante came in and said they were the baby’s parents. The nurse then told them about the “blond girl, who said she was the baby’s mother” and how she wanted to breastfeed her but didn’t.
Once they were alone together in Maxie's room, she begged Spinelli not to tell Dante and Lulu that she tried to nurse their baby. He then revealed that he knew the baby was theirs not Lulu and Dante’s and how he couldn’t understand why she had lied to him, Lulu and Dante.
At Wyndemere, Britt warned Patrick that he was making a big mistake when he threatened to call his lawyer. She then confessed that he wasn’t the baby’s father. He wondered about the paternity test that she used to prove the baby was his. Britt then admitted that her mother was responsible for switching the results.
