Katy Perry will perform her newest single “Roar” at the MTV Video Music Awards later this month, marking her first performance on the VMA stage since 2009.

The Video Music Awards will air August 25, live from Brooklyn, The Associated Press reports. Perry released the single Monday and will be featured on her newest album, Prism, set to hit stores Oct. 22.

The AP notes that Perry previously performed at the VMA’s in 2008 and 2009. In 2008 she performed her chart topping hit “I Kissed a Girl,” and in 2009 she joined Joe Perry where she covered Queen’s “We Will Rock You.

Lady Gaga and Kanye West are also slated to perform.

Justin Timberlake, Robin Thicke feat. T.I. and Pharrell, Bruno Mars, Ed Sheeran and Kendrick Lamar will face off in the category of “Best Male Video” while Rihanna, Taylor Swift, Miley Cyrus, Pink and Demi Lovato will face off for the “Best Female Video” award.
