Kendrick Lamar has singlehandedly awoken the hip hop community with his verse in Big Sean’s “Control,” a track that surfaced on Monday. In his verse, he name-drops everyone from Drake, Tyler the Creator to Jermaine Cole and A$AP Rocky and not in a good way. He even insults Big Sean.
“I'm usually homeboys with the same n---as I'm rhymin with / But this is hip-hop and them n---as should know what time it is/ And that goes for Jermaine Cole, Big K.R.I.T., Wale, Pusha T, Meek Mill, A$AP Rocky, Drake, Big Sean, Jay Electron', Tyler, Mac Miller,” Lamar raps, notes E! News.
He continues, “I got love for you all but I'm tryna murder you n---as / Tryna make sure your core fans never heard of you n---as / They don't wanna hear not one more noun or verb from you n---as.”
But that’s just the start. Lindsay Lohan, Paul McCartney, Andre 3000 and Eminem even get trashed by Lamar.
“Mollies'll prolly turn these n****s to f***in' Lindsay Lohan / A bunch of rich ass white girls lookin' for parties/ Playin with Barbies, wreck the Porsche before you give 'em the car key,” he says in his attack at Lohan, notes TMZ.
Of course, the hip hop community couldn’t just sit back and not react to this new track. Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs’ RevoltTV suggested that this is exactly what the music industry needs.
Hip Hop was born out of competition and raised by battles. This is what Music needs. More people who want to be the BEST not BEST FRIENDS.
