This summer we provided our daughter with something different to do. Instead of sending her off to camp we brought an art teacher to our house.
Private Picassos is a fantastic way to learn art. A teacher visits your home and provides you with a personalized art lesson. It's a fun way to learn about art and work creatively!
Our teacher was Chris Sahr, an experienced artist and teacher. We had three girls over at our house, and Chris came prepared with an age-appropriate lesson plan, materials, and even table coverings. She taught them about the American sculptor Alexander Calder. They then designed their own 3D wire circus, a project that was different and challenging and yet certainly within our daughter's capabilities.
That was such a relief to me because I was afraid I was going to pay for something that I could have taught myself!
Private Picassos serves New York City, Long Island, the Hamptons, Westchester, Connecticut and now Northern New Jersey. They also offer museum tours and art birthday parties, as well as programming for parents and adult students.
