Neil Young and Crazy Horse were forced to cancel four North American tour dates due to the ongoing repercussions of guitarist Frank Sampredo’s hand injury. They also canceled tour dates earlier this month because of it.
In a statement the band said, "We are sorry for any inconvenience this causes to our fans or the festivals where we were scheduled to appear. As you must be, we too are disappointed at this unfortunate turn of events."
Rolling Stone reports the band also canceled the last seven dates of their European tour this summer because of Sampredo’s injury.
Although they’ve been touring since August of last year, Sampredo recently said he had a feeling that this tour would be it for the band.
"I just think once it stops, it's going to be kind of hard to get it rolling again," he said. "My gut tells me this is really the last tour. I hate saying their ages, but I'm 64 and I'm the baby of the band. I love playing and we're playing as good as we ever did, but at any time, something could go down with any one of us."
According to USA Today, their next tour date is scheduled for Sept. 21 in Saratoga Springs, New York.
