A third person has been charged with trying to fire a false claim to the One Fund Boston, the foundation set up for victims of the Boston Marathon Bombing in April. The New Jersey woman allegedly claimed that she was hurt during the bombings.

Iris Gamble, a 44-year-old Liden, New Jersey woman, allegedly claimed that she was injured on April 15 during the bombing in Boston and put down that she was treated at a Newark hospital. Union County Prosecutor Grace H. Park said that she filed the claim on June 11.
Attorney General Martha Coakley’s office noticed misspellings and other errors and alerted Park’s office.

According to Boston.com, she will be charged with attempted theft by deception, fraud and creating frauduelent documents.

“Our investigation revealed that the defendant was not in Boston on the day of the bombings,” Park said. “The defendant wasted little time in trying to profit from the generosity and kindness of others.”

CBS Boston reports that officials didn’t say how much money she tried to get from the fund.

The first person accused of defrauding the One Fund was Branden Mattier, 22, who tried to file a $2.195 million, reports CBS Boston. He was arrested last month.

Just last week, the Boston Globe reported that Audrea Gause, 26, of New York, was in court to answer to charges that she fraudulently received $480,000 from the fund.
