It has been nearly one year since Good Morning America co-host Robin Roberts had a bone-marrow transplant and Roberts reveals that she feels “90 percent” herself.

Roberts discussed her year, which involved a series of tests and procedures after being diagnosed with MDS, a rare blood disorder. She tells People, “I'm really at peace now. I'm not as frightened. I feel 90 percent of myself again, and that's a great feeling."

Roberts returned to her post on GMA in January on a limited schedule after undergoing the bone-marrow transplant on September 20, 2012. Her sister, Sally Ann, was her donor.

Throughout her battle, Roberts was sure to keep her fans updated via her blog. The longtime journalist remained strong and confident throughout the procedure, even after contracting a virus after her transplant.

"The day after Labor Day I'll be back to a five-day a week schedule," she said. "I'm looking forward to it. I want to get back to my full life,” she explained.
