Colombian pop star Shakira has won another victory in her ex-boyfriend’s ongoing efforts to get millions of dollars out of their relationship. One of the lawsuits Antonio de la Rua filed in California has been dismissed by a judge.
De la Rua has been suing Shakira in three different lawsuits over an alleged “partnership” the two had, with him as her manager and the creator of her current image. But Shakira disagreed and she has successfully fought all three suits.
The suit that was dismissed Thursday was the one de la Rua filed in Los Angeles in April for $100 million, notes E! News.
“I am very grateful that the courts are not allowing these groundless lawsuits to proceed,” Sharkia said in a statement. “I have moved on in my life and could not be happier now. I hope this harassment will now come to an end.”
De la Rua filed a $250 million lawsuit in New York in November and another in a Swiss court. These lawsuits had also been dismissed.
Meanwhile, Shakira recently showed off her post-baby body, six months after welcoming Milan, her child with current boyfriend and soccer star Gerard Pique. The “Hips Don’t Lie” singer was most recently a judge on The Voice and will be returning to the show in 2014.
