A dancer was injured on Thursday night during the Broadway Musical, Spider-Man: Turn off the Dark. Even though he sustained some serious injuries, the show will still go on.

The New York Times reports that Daniel Curry, an ensemble dancer and understudy in Spider-Man, got pinned under a trap door. His leg was badly injured in the accident and he was sent to the Bellevue Hospital. The show that evening was cancelled.

“Following last night’s accident at Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark, Daniel Curry remains in the hospital in stable condition having sustained an injury to his foot,” a spokesman for show said in a statement on Robot6.com. “Tonight’s performance will go on as scheduled. The technical elements of the show are all in good working order, and we can confirm that equipment malfunction was not a factor in the incident. Our thoughts are with Daniel and his family.”

Friday night's show went off without a hitch. Curry's injury is the first major accident for Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark since the show's development days in 2010. A few cast members were injured during that time. Most notably, an aerialist fell 30 feet, lived to tell the tale and later rejoined the cast.
