Taylor Swift was seen dissing her ex, One Direction’s Harry Styles at the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday night. She even called out another ex, Jake Gyllenhaal, while on stage accepting the award for the song she wrote about him.
The camera shot to Swift while she was talking to her best friend, Selena Gomez, in the audience when Styles was on stage with his band to present an award. She was seen mouthing, “shut the f--- up!" when he was talking.
Us Weekly reports she also mocked him during her performance of “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together” at the Grammys in February when she spoke in a British accent.
When on stage accepting the award for Best Female Video, Swift said of the song “I Knew You Were Trouble,” which is rumored to be about Gyllenhaal, “Thank you. Wow. I want to thank the fans because I tweeted about this a lot, I really really wanted this. I also want to thank the person that inspired this song, and he knows exactly who he is, because I got one of these!"
Styles said in a recent interview that he’s fully prepared for Swift to write a song about their failed relationship, saying “It would be hypocritical for me to say she couldn't do it because everybody writes songs based on personal experience."
