A 13-year-old boy was beat up by three boys on a school bus in Pinellas County, Florida, and prosecutors have decided they have no grounds to charge the driver of the bus with neglect.
Some say that the driver of the bus, 64-year-old John Moody, could have intervened further, but he claims he did all he could and was too terrified to get involved.
When the fight started, Moody immediately called dispatch asking for help and can be heard yelling at the boys to stop.
"You gotta get somebody here quick, quick, quick, quick," Moody said to the dispatcher, CNN reports. "They're about to beat this boy to death over here, please get somebody here quick. There's still doing it. There's nothing I can do."
The boy eventually got away and ran from the bus. He was later treated at a nearby hospital for a broken arm and two black eyes.
According to Inquisitr the three 15-year-old boys that attacked him were arrested and charged with aggravated assault.
The attack was captured on video from other student’s cell phones.
Moody was allegedly so traumatized by the beating that he retired two weeks later.
