I don’t normally use workout videos. Actually, I don’t normally workout. However, one day I decided that it was time to workout. I didn’t want to go to the gym (I’m a poor college student and going to the gym isn’t free) so I decided to try The Firm. And, it was a great decision.

I lost 15 pounds in one month because of this DVD. At first, it was hard and I hated every single workout “trainer” on the films. But, I didn’t quit. I followed their 30-day plan to lose weight and I did. It was money well spent.

This set may not be for everyone. It takes dedication to really lose weight. I followed their plan strictly. While, it may have helped that I am only 21 years old, I think anyone can do it as well.

I didn’t do anything except for this video and eating the recipes in their booklet. The videos made me sweat and maybe cry a little bit. In the film you are only required to use light or medium weights- and there aren’t very many pushups to do either. And, you get a “break” every few days so your body can catch up.

Now, I’m not saying it is easy. Did I feel hungry and hurt all the time? At the beginning I did. However, once I adapted my lifestyle and got used to doing The Firm, I’m a happier person. In the beginning, I was terrible. I could hardly keep up and I was sweating to the point that I could feel the sweat it in my eyes. Luckily, I was in my house where no one could see me.

If you want to get in shape and have fun, try The Firm. And if you just want to try it, buy one of the DVDs instead of an entire kit. I suggest “Hi-Def Sculpt” for beginners. Also, it helps if you have a buddy to do it too so you have someone to motivate you.

I tried it and I got results. I’m not promising you will get the same as me but- it is worth your money. I’m still on it and loving every second.
