The official trailer for the Oscar-winning screenwriter gone director’s film Paradise (formerly titled Lamb of God was recently – and finally! – released.

Diablo Cody makes her directorial debut in the film, which stars Julianne Hough as a good-girl conservative whose attitude changes after being involved in a plane crash. With a ton of rage and even more cash, Hough decides to venture to Las Vegas, where she meets Russell Brand, Octavia Spencer, and a whole other cast of characters including Holly Hunter and Nick Offerman.

Though Paradise won’t be hitting the big screen, it will however premiere on DirecTV August 9 for $8.99-$10.99 for subscribers. For those that aren’t subscribers the film will play in ten select theaters in October.

To hype her movie, Cody tweeted: “Most directors force you to LEAVE THE HOUSE to see their movie. You can watch mine naked with a bag of Mint Milanos.”

Though this is Cody’s first directorial debut, she is no stranger to the industry. In 2007 she won an Academy Award and a WGA award for best original screenplay for the critically acclaimed, Juno. Her other credits include showrunning the TV series United States of Tara and writing and producing the films Jennifer’s Body and Young Adult.

Are you going to watch Cody’s new film on DirecTV or catch it in theaters?
