An unpaid intern that worked at Bad Boy Entertainment from January through May of 2012, is suing the company. The reason for the lawsuit is because she was asked to do jobs that actual workers didn't want to do.
When you think about being an intern, many people's first thoughts would be that they will be doing things such as getting coffee, and answering the phones. Rashida Salaam clearly did not expect to be doing things like that though, as she has taken it as far as a lawsuit.
Typically with a lawsuit being filed like this, you would think that Salaam has no chance to win. But Hotnewhiphop reports that she actually has a shot of winning due to new laws regarding unpaid internships, where there is no more free labor for course credit.
Fansided wrote a very sarcastic article where they chastised the plaintiff for filing a lawsuit against Bad Boy for making her do her job. They also went on to say that if she plans to have a career in the entertainment industry, this was not a good step to take, and may hurt her future.
Sean "Diddy" Combs created Bad Boy Entertainment in 1993 and still runs the whole company. He also happens to be a very powerful and wealthy man, which should make this lawsuit no problem for him or his company especially with such weak allegations.
