Marvel Studios is no stranger to keeping their projects secret, and Vin Diesel is no stranger to starring in action franchises, so imagine fans’ excitement when word began to spread that the actor is in talks to star in a Marvel movie.

Diesel is supposedly in talks to voice a character in Marvel’s upcoming space adventure, Guardians of the Galaxy, according to Collider.

However, that isn’t the only movie magic Diesel is cooking up with Marvel.

“We were initially talking about a fresh IP, that was the focus of our conversation, was a fresh IP that would come out in 2016 and 2017 and would potentially launch a third phase,” Diesel said, according to IGN.

It’s unclear whether those talks came to fruition. Diesel goes on to drop hints Guardians:

“I guess after they watched The Iron Giant or whatever, they came up with this idea of taking the strangest Marvel character, or the strongest Marvel character that’s ever hit film, and thought what I could with that with motion capture and with my voice,” he said.

He could be talking about Groot, a tall tree-like being who fights alongside Chris Pratt’s Star-Lord and Zoe Saldana’s Gamora. However, according to Collider, Diesel has not outright confirmed the role. Yet.
