Pop phenom Katy Perry released a teaser for "Roar," her next music video, and it looks like she's going from Candyland princess to Queen of the Jungle.
The clip is under 30 seconds long, but it's enough for fans to see Katy 3.0. Gone are cotton-candy wigs and lollipop backup dancers, and in their place is a tough Tarzan Katy, complete with leopard print and leaf outfit and a handful of jungle animal pals.
The ever-evolving Perry recently performed "Roar" at MTV's Video Music Awards, in which she transformed the stage into a boxing arena.
"Roar" is the first single off of Prism, which, according to Idolator, is expected to hit shelves Oct. 22.
Perry has teased briefly about what fans can expect from the new record.
"I let a lot of light into my life," she told USA Today. "At first I thought maybe there were going to be darker songs, but instead of having all the darkness come in, I let the light in. And I get to beam them out to the listeners, the fans."
