At the hospital, Nikolas, Derrick, Alexis and Sam waited for word from Silas about Derrick being Danny's donor. They we’re impatient when he finally arrived. Silas said that he ran every test twice to be thorough and Derrick was good to go as Danny’s donor. Sam hugged Silas as he announced Derrick was a viable donor. Once she was alone with Derrick, Sam told him that she wished there was something she could do for what he was able to do for her son. He replied that he only wanted her to do two things. He wanted her to take care of Danny and to let him be her friend. Sam agreed to do both. Alexis returned to see them hugging. Later, Sam reminded Silas how her son wouldn’t be alive without him. When they hugged again, she pulled back and kissed him, but then she pulled back again and wondered what they were doing. He replied that he wanted to do it again, that he didn’t see himself as just Danny's doctor, that he felt something for her and was willing to bet she felt something too. She fired back that she couldn’t think about this and wanted to focus on saving Danny's life.
In her hospital room, Spinelli asked Maxie if she really thought she could just give their baby to Lulu and Dante without any consequences. Then, Lulu and Dante arrived thinking they knew what Spinelli and Maxie’s argument was about. They told them that they knew about Maxie trying to breastfeed their baby from the nurse. Maxie admitted to acting like the baby's mother for good reason. They then threatened to keep her out of their daughter's life but Maxie refused to let them do that. Lulu said she didn’t want to, especially since she needed Maxie more than ever now. She then confesses that Luke was sick. Then, Spinelli told them that they we’re right and Maxie needed to take a step back from their family. He then added that he would be there to support Maxie through the transition. After Lulu and Dante left, Maxie cried and asked Spinelli he didn't tell them the truth. He replied that he didn't for the same reason she didn't, because the baby wasn't theirs (his and Maxie’s) after she set up this fantasy for Lulu.
Morgan realized he'd found the gun everyone was looking for when he bent over to pick up his phone outside of the Quartermaine boathouse. He let Kiki know when she arrived that he was calling the police, but she stopped him, thinking he might not want to do that because of Michael. Morgan replied that he didn’t care because Michael was better off with AJ behind bars.
At PCPD, Diane coached AJ on how to answer questions. Outside with Anna, Michael told her that he was certain that AJ couldn’t have killed Connie. She told him that she still needed to follow the evidence and she couldn't let AJ go. Then, Diane interrupted saying that Anna could and would let AJ go because they had nothing on him, but Anna was certain she had the evidence she needed to hold AJ and then left for the Quartermaine's. Once she was alone with AJ, Diane asked him if he remembered firing the gun at Connie. He replied that he only remembered being in Connie's office and pointing the gun at her.
Anna arrived with officers at the Quartermaine boathouse and requested a ballistics test be run on the gun Morgan found. She then wanted Morgan and Kiki to give statements and apologized for not getting a statement from Kiki earlier at the station. Once Anna left, Morgan asked Kiki why she was at the station. She replied that she wanted to check on Michael. Then, Morgan got angry, reminded Kiki that she was his wife NOT Michael’s and she might want to start acting like it. Then, he stormed away!
At Wyndemere, Britt told Patrick that he wasn’t her baby’s father. He then reminded her of how she worked so hard to convince everyone otherwise but now that he threatened to get full custody he wasn’t the father. He then added that he wanted her to make him believe that he wasn’t the father and asked who was. She replied that she didn't have to sleep with anyone and the sperm donor was Brad Cooper. Patrick then got angrier and grabbed Britt while asking her how she could do what she did to him and to Emma. Then, Nikolas came in threatening to break Patrick's hands, which would end his career as a surgeon if he didn’t let go of Britt immediately. Patrick let go and stormed out of Wyndemere. Once they were alone, Nikolas asked Britt why Patrick was so upset.
Back at the hospital, Brad wondered if he'd finally caught Felix's eye when Felix chased him down in the hall. Felix shuddered and said that he just wanted to know what Brad knew about Britt's baby. Then, Brad got angry saying that he was just a means to an end for Felix. Brad then added that he wanted to help if he and Felix could speak hypothetically about being boyfriends. Then, Brad confessed to Felix that he was in love with him. Felix replied that it was a crush, like he had with Milo. Brad thought they should try to be alone, together to see. Felix was fearful of his feelings as Brad talked about getting bullied when he was younger for being a tap dancer and winning competitions. Brad and Felix were about when Patrick pulled Felix away and punched Brad.
Back at PCPD, Anna went back into the interrogation room and had AJ arrested and charged with Connie’s murder having found out that the gun Morgan found was the murder weapon and that AJ's fingerprints were all over it.
At the hospital, Alexis thought Derrick looked familiar and asked if it was possible that they had met before. He joked about not making an impression on her since they met at The Floating Rib. Alexis said she was sure that wasn’t it and then showed him to the exam room. Later, a nurse gave Alexis some forms to give to Derrick to redo because they were illegible. Alexis then entered the exam room without knocking and caught Derrick in his briefs.
Elsewhere in the hospital, Felix stopped Patrick from punching Brad again and thought Patrick had lost his mind. Patrick then asked Brad how he and Britt manipulated him into thinking her baby was his (Patrick’s) when the baby was really Brad’s. Felix was certain Brad didn't sleep with Britt, but Patrick reminded him that there were other ways to get pregnant and stormed off. Then, Felix wanted to know if what Patrick said was true since Brad swore he knew nothing of what Britt and her mother were up to. Felix left when Brad took a call from Britt, but returned looking for an answer to his question and then Brad admitted that he was the father. Felix then asked Brad about what else he'd lied about and told Brad to keep his distance from him when Silas ordered them to assist on Derrick’s procedure.
Later, while Silas and the staff handled Derrick's procedure, Alexis and Sam shared their embarrassing moments with Derrick and Silas, respectively, in the next room. Alexis confessed to Sam that she saw Derrick in his briefs and Sam confessed to kissing Silas. Sam then said that she sure that all they could be was friends right now. Later, they both met Silas and Derrick. Sam thanked them both and stared at Silas.
At Wyndemere, Nikolas wanted to know why a reasonable man like Patrick manhandled Britt. She admitted that he was upset when she finally told him the truth that the baby wasn’t his. Nikolas then asked for clarification that she lied to Patrick, him and everybody. He then added that he was interested in what her plan was after he had just thrown Patrick out of his house and he had spent time helping her all along. She replied that she didn't have one. He was at a loss for words and went to check on Spencer. Once she was alone, she called Brad and apologized for not a warning before claiming he was the baby's father. When Nikolas returned, he told Britt how Helena had manipulated Elizabeth’s son’s Aiden’s paternity results, making him think he was Aiden’s father. He then noted that Helena’s noting her reasons were crazy and asked Britt what her reasons were for doing the same. Britt replied that she believed Patrick was the one, that she had encouragement from her mother and fell for him hard. She then added that she was so desperate not to lose him after he dumped her that she followed her mother's schemes. Later, after Britt had packed to leave, she apologized and thanks Nikolas for all his help and kindness, but he refuses to throw her out in her condition and allowed her to stay. She replied that he was one of the nice guys.
Michael arrived at the Quartermaine boathouse questioning the validity of Morgan's claim that he found the murder weapon since no one was with him when he found it. Kiki didn’t believe Morgan would frame AJ and reminded Michael that Connie and Sonny deserved justice. She then told Michael that she concerned that he hadn't had any rest and made him sit down. Michael then told Kiki that thought AJ might have killed Connie after all he'd heard from Sonny and Carly about AJ his whole life. Kiki then comforted him.
At Sonny's, Morgan found Olivia crying over a photo of Connie. She then told him that Sonny hadn’t returned any of her calls. Morgan assured her that AJ would get everything he deserved since he found the murder weapon. She then told Morgan how she always thought AJ was more pathetic than dangerous. Morgan let her know that he called the police about the gun despite what Kiki thought about it. Olivia thought Kiki just wanted to help out a friend but Morgan wondered why she had to keep lying about it. Olivia then told Morgan about her competition with Connie over Sonny and warned him to not make the same mistake with his brother. He stayed while she went to check on Sonny but she came back downstairs upset saying that Sonny was gone and that he left a note, which read, “'I’m sorry I can’t do this. Goodbye.”
At Patrick's, Sabrina was putting together baby furniture. She was excited when Patrick came home until he told her that she had been right all along that he wasn’t the father of Britt’s baby and that Brad was. She could see he was upset and hurt and had suffered a loss. Patrick then said they should at least be thankful that this was now all over and they were done with Britt. She was ready to leave Patrick alone to think but he asked her to stay.
At Wyndemere, Nikolas left Elizabeth a message after seeing the news about AJ. Later, he overheard Britt calling about looking at apartments. After she hung up, Nikolas told her that he didn't want her to go. She reminded him that she wasn’t his subject, wanted to find a place of her own before she had the baby and that he must want her gone after what she did to Patrick. He replied that he didn’t want her gone and agreed that it wasn’t his responsibility, it was the dad's. Britt then said that Brad had nothing to do with the baby because it wasn't part of their deal. Nikolas then replied that for his peace of mind he wanted to make sure she was taken care of before she left Wyndemere and went to meet with Brad himself.
At the hospital, Felix caught Sabrina after she and Patrick kissed. He told her how about Brad giving Britt his sperm in exchange for a promotion. Nearby, Diane Miller approached Brad looking for something he was holding for her. He didn’t want to give her what she was asking for, but she promised something extra for his troubles. He then returned and gave her the item and she gave him an envelope full of cash. He was close by when Sabrina asked Felix what was going on between him and Brad. Felix then confessed that they almost kissed but then promised not to buy into anymore of Brad's lies. She left as Brad told Felix that they weren't lies. Felix then told Brad that he could never return his feelings after Brad had conspired with Britt. Later, Nikolas found Brad and told him it was time for him to man up and take care of his son after contributing his DNA for a promotion. Brad replied that he heard a hint of judgment and doesn't think that much of Nikolas' family after reading a tell-all about them. Nikolas replied that since Patrick was no longer in the picture, he believed Brad should take Britt in. Brad said that he didn’t have room and wondered why Nikolas cared. He asks, "Do you gotta thing for the Britch?" Nikolas wanted Brad to call Britt by her correct name and made it clear that Brad was the dad. Brad then advised Nikolas that Britt could take it up with him if there was a problem.
Elsewhere in the hospital, Franco was packing in his room when Carly arrived. He anticipated going to jail for the rest of his life as soon as he was released. She replied that she wasn’t going to apologize for caring whether he lived or died after saving his life. Then, Patrick interrupted to examine Franco before discharging him. Carly stepped out and saw Elizabeth reading the headlines about Connie's shooting. Carly told her it was typical of AJ and was upset for Michael. Carly then added that both Elizabeth and Michael needed to find out what kind of man AJ was. She then rejoined Franco with Patrick, who told Franco that there had been no complications from his tumor being extracted and that he was free to go. Once they were alone, Carly told Franco that she thought a jury might believe he was a changed man. Franco stopped her from leaving and asked her to go with him to court because she was his only friend and he wanted her to give her friend the serial killer a break. She agreed to go with him to court.
In another part of the hospital, a little boy wanted to give Patrick a toy car as a thank you gift for saving his life. He asked the boy to hold onto it. Sabrina overheard the boy’s mom hoping he has a son someday since he was so good with her son.
AJ arrived at the courthouse happy to see that Michael was there. Michael told AJ that he planned on sticking by him. AJ replied that he would understand if Michael washed his hands of him since he (AJ) believed he killed Connie even if he didn’t remember pulling the trigger. AJ then told Michael how upset he was at himself for his cruel words to Elizabeth when he was drunk and then told Michael how he planned to confess to the murder. Michael didn’t think he should give up all his options by doing that. Diane overheard, agreed and wanted AJ to stop his wallowing. Then, alone, Michael called Elizabeth and begged her to come to the courthouse to stop AJ from throwing away his life. Alone with AJ, Diane implored him to plead 'not guilty' to allow her to work on a reasonable doubt defense. Later, the judge was waiting for AJ’s plea when Elizabeth arrived. AJ saw her, was hesitant but responded, "Not guilty." Afterward, Elizabeth told AJ that her presence there wasn’t what he thought when he thanked her for sticking by him. She said she couldn’t make any promises. AJ replied that he could live with that and was just happy she came. Then, the guard led AJ to his cell.
Meanwhile, Diane called Franc to tell him that he was next on the docket. When he and Carly arrived, Diane moved that all charges against Franco be dropped and for him to be released. She then produces a jar with Franco's brain tumor in it as the reason for all the crimes he was charged with.
At the Quartermaine boathouse, Kiki was completing a text to Michael when Morgan came home. She told him how worried she was that he was gone all night and he admitted that he and Olivia were out looking for Sonny all night. He added that didn't want to bother her because she had other things on his mind. Kiki then promised that as her husband he came first.
Olivia was praying to G-d at Sonny's when Dante showed up with no word on his whereabouts. She told Dante that she was afraid that Sonny planned on killing himself and Dante said calmed her fears. Then, Morgan arrived with Kiki. Olivia wanted them to put their heads together to find Sonny. Dante agreed and thought they should call Michael. Morgan didn’t want to and thought they should leave Michael at the PCPD to hold AJ hand. Dante didn’t want to hold Michael responsible for something AJ did and reminded Morgan that Michael was the one who knew Sonny the best and maybe knew of a special place he would go. Olivia then pleaded with Morgan that they needed Michael. Then, Morgan called Michael to come over. Michael knew it was bad when he saw the note and wanted Morgan to put their differences aside to find Sonny.
Back at Wyndemere, Britt was having some pain when Sabrina arrived announcing that she was her worst nightmare.
At the courthouse, Diane produces Franco's brain tumor as evidence of his innocence. The prosecutor wasn't interested but Diane told the judge that it a miscarriage of justice to persecute Franco and that she could state precedent. The prosecutor wanted to go to trial to give Franco's victims a chance to be heard. Then, Carly stood up and identified herself as one of Franco’s victims. Under oath she confirmed knowing Franco before and after his surgery and testified that she hadn't witnessed any recent violent acts by Franco against anyone. She added that she still didn’t trust him in the presence of her children but noted his recent bouts with remorse and guilt before the surgery. The judge then said she would review the evidence and give her ruling on Diane’s motion for dismissal the next day. Diane thought Franco was going to Pentonville given Carly’s testimony.
Emma came home with Patrick and was surprised to find all the baby furniture was gone. She asked what was wrong after he offered her ice-cream. He told her that found out a test was wrong and he wasn’t the father of Britt’s. Emma told Patrick that she was sorry he failed the test and wondered if the baby would miss them. Patrick said that the baby would be missing out on the best big sister ever. She then said she was sorry he was missing out on having a boy but thought he could still have one with Sabrina. While he left Sabrina a message wishing she was there when he shared the news, Emma came out with mitt and ball ready to play catch.
At Sonny's, Olivia worried when Michael hadn't found Sonny after calling to Sonny’s island residence. She was certain Sonny might kill himself and was angered at the whole situation since Connie and Sonny were finally going to make good on their childhood promises until the stupid article about Kiki came out. Michael wanted to know what the article had to do with anything. Then, Morgan freaked out, said that Connie and Sonny's problems didn’t matter since Connie was dead and Sonny could be dead soon too. Kiki thought Morgan should chill but Michael apologized for getting under his skin. Dante then left with Michael and Morgan for GH to check on the report of a gunshot victim fitting Sonny’s description but didn’t tell Olivia where they were going. Later, Olivia realized where Sonny was when she had a vision of Kiki in Connie's wedding dress.
Elsewhere, Dante let his brothers know the gunshot victim wasn't Sonny and sent them back to Sonny's. While going to see Lulu, Brad stopped Dante to tell him something.
At Wyndemere, Britt told Sabrina to take her holier-than-thou attitude back to the mainland, but Sabrina said that she wanted to have her say. Sabrina told Britt how angry she was that Britt had cheated Patrick and Emma out of a son and brother. Britt replied that she may be called “the Britch” but she didn’t have anything on Sabrina. Sabrina reminded her that Britt’s downward spiral started when she decided to hate Emma. Then, Britt became overcome with pain. Sabrina joked that she was faking and started to leave but Britt begged her to stay. When Nikolas returned, Sabrina was getting Britt ready to give birth on the floor.
At the Haunted Star, Sonny looked at a photo of him with Connie before checking his gun clip. He talked to her about her dying for nothing and wanted to end it. Then, Connie appeared to him. He told her how much he loves her and didn’t want her to leave again. She said that loved him too, that she never stopped and was so sorry. He was upset for all that had transpired and believed he should have listened to her. He then added that Morgan was married to someone who didn’t love him. Connie tried to pull at the gun wondering what he was doing. He then talked about losing her twice and how he wanted to find her again. He then pointed the gun at his chest and said, "I want to be with you now." She told him to put the gun down and marry her. He put the gun on the bar and the room was a vision of their wedding day. They exchanged vows. He wanted more but she left with a goodbye. He then picked up the gun again as Olivia ran in screaming, "No!"
