Apple showed off two new versions of the iPhone on Tuesday, the iPhones 5S and 5C
In order to appeal to price-conscious consumers, Apple announced the iPhone 5C, The Washington Post reports. The phone will come in several colors and not just silver or black, but even green, light blue, pink and yellow.
The iPhone 5C will be $99 for the 16 GB model or $199 for the 32 GB model, and of course you would need to sign up for a two-year contract.
The other version shown, the iPhone 5S is the high-end upgrade and will cost the same as the iPhone 5 - $199 for 16 GB or $299 for 32 GB. There is even a 64 GB model being offered, at $399. The 5S offers the M7, a new chip which can measure motion and environmental information.
Philip W. Schiller, Apple's senior vice president of worldwide marketing, commented on the 5C, "It has an incredible new design. One that's more fun, and more colorful than anything we've made before," The New York Times reports.
The 5S will involve a new security feature for users, a fingerprint sensor.
Both iPhone models will be available in the U.S. and other countries starting Sept. 20.
