Arnold Schwarzenegger will not be play the villain in the sequel to James Cameron’s blockbuster hit, Avatar.
According to Entertainment Wise, a spokesperson for 20th Century Fox states that Schwarzenegger "will not be in the sci-fi sequel", and also saying that he "won't be considered for any other role."
Entertainment Wise notes that the news first surfaced after Latino Review published a report claiming that the Terminator actor would join the cast.
Thus far the only actors rumored to return are Zoe Saldana, Sam Worthington and Sigourney Weaver.
Schwarzenegger fueled rumors during an interview with MTV where he expressed his excitement of potentially working with Cameron. "Movie-wise, he's tied up with his next two movies, but hopefully, there's something down the line when he's finished with that. I always look forward to working with him because Cameron is a very talented director” he explained back in January.
The film is slated to take off exactly where the first film left off, Starpulse reports. As we previously reported, Cameron approved four Avatar novels to accompany the two films slated to follow the 2009 hit.
