A British supermodel protected herself last Thursday during Paris Fashion Week.
Hollie-May Saker, 18, an up and coming model in the British Fashion world, had to punch protesters while walking in the Nina Ricci show.
Saker told UK’s Daily Mail that even though she was the 19th lady to go on she could hear them approaching her. The protestors grabbed her and lifted up her skirt. After that Saker hit her “square in the nose.”
The protestors were from the activist group Fenmen. The two women were bare chested had slogans on their bodies such as “model don’t go to brothel.”
Saker began her modeling career at the age of 16, and said things might have been different if she was in that situation at that age.
According to Liverpool Echo, Saker believes that if this accident happened back when she first started it would have been different outcome. She believes that she would have run off the catwalk or “fallen over.”
However, she was proud of her performance and was grateful for the experience.
