It might be one of the worst kept secrets, but nonetheless, Britney Spears officially announced her Las Vegas residency on ABC’s Good Morning America on Tuesday.
She confirmed she has signed a two-year deal to perform at Vegas’ Planet Hollywood -- reportedly getting $310,000 a show.
The show is called Britney, Piece of Me and it will kick off on Dec. 27. She surprised her fans in the desert of Las Vegas to make the announcement this morning.
“We wanted the environment to be that way so people could come and have a good time and stand up and feel like they’re in the show with me,” she said, ABC News reports. “I love Vegas. The energy here is really, really good.”
As for her sons, Sean Preston and Jayden James, Spears said “Preston will probably be on stage but I think Jayden would have a hard time with it.”
Spears let fans know she’s been training up to five hours a day for the show and even if it’s some three months away, "I'm definitely ready.”
