Britney Spears may have finally signed that Las Vegas deal that her fans have been hearing about for months. According to a report published on the same day that her song “Work Bitch” leaked, the singer has signed a deal worth nearly $15 million to perform in Vegas.
TMZ claims to have gotten a look at the contract, which would pay Spears $310,000 per show at the Planet Hollywood resort. The schedule would include 48 shows and, if you do the math, that adds up to $14.88 million.
While that’s less than Celine Dion’s payday (she gets $476,000 per show and does 70 performances a year, says TMZ), Spears will get a 60 percent cut from gate sales, which could amount to $508,514 per show.
Producers are looking to give Spears a “cool, hip club-like show” instead of a Vegas spectacular like Dion’s shows. TMZ also acquired computer models of the stage.
There have been reports about Spears’ planned Vegas residency for months, but nothing has been confirmed yet. In July, it was reported that it is still in the works. Caesars Entertainment did confirm that they were in talks with Spears back in February.
Meanwhile, this weekend, Spears’ “Work Bitch” leaked early and she was not happy. An official version of the song is on iTunes.
