Bryan Cranton has been a fairly successful man over the past few years, and with Breaking Bad coming to a heartbreaking end, it's only natural that we'd see him come up in some starring roles. Cranston will be tackling the role of Dalton Trumbo, a screenwriter in the 30s who was blacklisted, and was a communist, but was convicted of contempt of court for not giving up any other communists that he knew. It's a wild story to be told and Cranston seems like the perfect pick.
According to Slash Film Jay Roach will directing this biopic, Roach is known for directing comedies such as Austin Powers and The Campaign it seems like a bit of a genre change, but with Cranston on board, fans don't have any doubts this will be another fantastic role by meth making science teacher.
On top of being the blacklisted screenwriter Variety reports that Cranston will also be in the upcoming Godzilla film coming out in May, 2014 f so fans of Cranston won't be having a shortage of the man any time soon. The biopic has no set release date yet, but plan to see it in time for the award season next year.
