Grammy-winning Carlos Santana crashed into a parked vehicle in Las Vegas Friday night. Santana was on his way home and driving near Summerlin when the accident occurred. So far, it appears that Santana will escape with little to no punishment or consequences.
According to the Las Vegas Review-Journal, the rock guitarist was not reported to have been driving under the influence. The exact details are unknown, but Santana walked away uninjured and the car he hit was unoccupied. The extent of the damages have not been disclosed, reports NorthJersey.com.
Police Lieutenant Ken Romane reported that “he hit a parked car, it was a minor accident, is all.” He even went on to claim that the incident wasn't even big or bad enough to keep a record of it.
The 66-year-old performed on Thursday and Saturday nights. Santana has racked up 10 Grammy Awards, 3 Latin Grammy Awards and was listed by Rolling Stone magazine as one of the 100 greatest guitarists of all time.
The musician became famous in the late 1960s and early 1970s when his band, Santana, stormed the rock and Latin American music worlds.
