CBS Films has nabbed the rights to adapt The Husband’s Secret, the latest novel from bestselling author Liane Moriarty.

The book is already a New York Times Bestseller, taking the No. 1 spot on the list. It was published in July by Amy Einhorn Books, reports TheWrap. It centers on three women who deal with a crisis after one opens a Pandora’s Box that links them together.

“This is a book that is being read and passed on to friends by women of all ages,” Terry Press, co-president of CBS Films, said in a statement. “The characters and story have evoked strong critical and reader reactions and we are thrilled to translate that to the big screen.”

The studio’s creative executive Winnie Kemp will executive produce the project.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, The Husband’s Secret is the fifth novel from Australian Moriarty. He previous works include The Last Anniversary, Three Wishes, What Alice Forgot and The Hypnotist's Love Story. She is also known for a series of children’s books.

CBS Films should be a player during the awards season this year, since the studio is distributing the acclaimed Coen Brothers film Inside Llewyn Davis. That will be released on Dec. 6.
