Oh the places you’ll go when you read an ebook, especially now that the classic children’s books by Dr. Seuss are heading to the digital realm. Books like Cat in the Hat, Green Eggs and Ham and Horton Hears A Who! are among the 41 books by Theodore Seuss Geisel that will finally be available as ebooks.
The Associated Press reports that Random House Children's Books said that the first cluster of 15 books will be available starting on Sept. 24. More of the books will be available in October and November.
“Random House Children’s Books and Dr. Seuss Enterprises have been publishing partners for decades. I am so pleased to announce the start of an exciting new chapter in our long and thriving relationship, as we embark on expanding the Dr. Seuss reading experience together with e-books,” RHCB president Barbara Marcus told Publisher’s Weekly, notes EW. She added that they are “delighted” that everyone can now add these to their digital library.
CNN reports that the digital editions will range from $7.99 to $10.99.
Geisel wrote 44 books before his death in 1991. His list of awards includes the Pulitzer Prize, three Emmys, three Grammys and three Caldecott Honors.
Other books that will be available in digital editions include Oh, The Places You’ll Go!, The Lorax, Fox In Socks and One Fish Two Fish Red Fish Blue Fish.
