Rapper Drake delays that start of his North American tour.

Examiner reports that Drake delayed his tour featuring Miguel and Future, causing cancellations and rescheduling.

Drake's rep said in a statement that the cancellations were due to an intense rehearsal schedule as well as technical production requirements that are part of the show.

According to Billboard, Drake's show was supposed to begin Sept. 25 in Portland, Oregon. It has now been rescheduled to start Oct. 18 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

The Saskatoon, Winnipeg, and Cleveland shows have been canceled, whereas the rest of the shows are rescheduled to later in the year. Refunds to the cancelled shows are available.

To promote his album, Drake appeared at iHeartRadio in Las Vegas on Sept. 21, The Ellen Degeneres Show on Sept. 20, and will appear on Monday's episode of Cheslea Lately.

Drake's Nothing Was the Same album is scheduled to release on Sept. 24. The rapper will also make an appearance in New York City at Best Buy on Broadway.
