Drake might have just released a new album Nothing Was the Same, but he’s talking about getting back into acting. He did start his career on Degrassi, so he’s excited to get back to his roots.

The video for “Hold On, We’re Going Home” is a step in the right direction if he wants to focus on acting going forward, as he shows off his skills in a mafia-type video.

“I based it off of some of the old Michael Jackson videos like 'Moonwalker,' so it's sort of exciting, violent a little and scary a little, but it's great,” he told MTV News.

The video was directed by Bill Pop (The Matrix) and Drake explains it by saying, “basically it's a video full of acting because I'm dying to get back into acting. So there's actually no performance in the video — it's all acting. A$AP's in it as well, plus a lot of different cameos, but it's a story-based video."

As for the future, he said he will get into "TV shows and movies," adding, "I'm excited about that."

Billboard notes “Hold On, We’re Going Home” video is set in 1985 in Miami and it’s about his girlfriend getting kidnapped, which prompts he and his crew to retaliate.
