Over 40 early Andy Warhol works are being displayed for sale in Hong Kong.

The exhibition has been put together by Sotheby's as it aims to introduce Chinese collectors to Warhol's works, The Telegraph reports.

Jacqueline Wachter, a contemporary art specialist at Sotheby's said, "We've really been seeing both in our private sales that China is becoming a very big part of our business."

"It is important to bring him to a new market and try to educate that market in his work."

The value of the pieces varies between $15,000 and $1 million, with Warhol's "Ten One Dollar Bills" being valued the highest. Some of the art is from the pop artist's 1950s travels through Asia.

There is a Hong Kong street scene done in ballpoint pen, view of Bangkok, a gold leaf show and beautiful butterflies painted onto a folding screen.

According to Bloomberg, the exhibition is titled "From Warhol, With Love."

The folding screen will particularly appeal as its design is similar to that of the Qing dynasty ceramics.

The works were all originally owned by one owner until the Warhol Foundation bought them. The exhibition is being displayed at Sotheby's Hong Kong Gallery between Sept. 12 through Sept. 24.

The selling exhibition shows Sotheby's desire to expand private sales.
