Eliza Doolittle is releasing her second studio album In Your Hands on October 14. In the meantime this British singer and songwriter has released videos for her three singles “Big When I Was Little,” “Waste of Time” and “Let It Rain,” all featured on the album.
If you happen to be a 90’s kid, just like Eliza Doolittle was, you might remember polaroids, cassette tapes, Malcolm In The Middle, Nirvana and Lauryn Hill, because they were all big when you were little. That is basically what Doolittle’s song “Big When I Was Little” is about. It is a fun pop track reminiscent of all the things that have marked singer’s childhood. The video is very colorful and shows a group of youngsters having fun.
“Waste of Time” says go ahead, waste my time! I’ll also gladly waste yours in return. The video is very simple and features Doolittle on a piano with two backup singers.
“Let It Rain” is about learning your lessons and saying bring it on! This time around you are able to survive the stormy weather, because life is nothing but a series of mistakes that will teach you how to handle life’s curveballs in the future. The video is absolutely stunning and features Doolittle in the desert as she walks towards the dark rainy cloud covering the desert.
Based on what we had a chance to hear so far, In Your Hands definitely won’t disappoint. It is fresh, but it is still very Eliza Doolittle.
