Jamar Rogers, the former contestant of “The Voice” on NBC went to intensive care after seeking care from a lung infection this week.

According to the news release on his website, after a performance at EastWest Studios the last Tuesday, September 3, his manager suggested he checked out his health.

Rogers, 31, was a fan favorite on Team CeeLo in the second season of “The Voice” and made his way to the finals. In 2006, Rogers was diagnosed with HIV. Since that time he has been working to educate his community and bring the message of hope to young people living with HIV/AIDs.

According to ABC NewsRogers is recovering at UCLA Medical Center for one or two more weeks. According to one of Rogers' reps “his spirits are high.”

Since his stay at the hospital family and friends have reached out him, including “The Voice” mentor CeeLo Green wished him a speedy recovery according to TMZ. Fans can reach Rogers on his Twitter and Facebook page to wish him a speedy recovery.
