A Google Street View driver was involved in three different hit-and-run accidents while taking pictures in Indonesia Wednesday.
It all started when the Indonesian Google driver hit a minivan on the streets of Bogor, reports ZD Net. After following the minivan to a repair shop and finding out the cost for repairs, the driver drove away. When the minivan began to follow the Google Street View car, the vehicle crashed into yet another minivan. The car again tried to escape, but hit a third vehicle – a parked truck.
While the cars show signs of serious damage, no injuries were reported. In a statement, Vishnu Mahmud, the head of Google communications said, "We take the safety of our Street View operations very seriously, and though we're glad everyone is OK and that no serious injuries were reported, we're sorry for any damage caused."
According to the Daily News, the driver's charges have not yet been set, and it is unknown if he will receive any, but he was indeed obligated by law and contract to stop and take responsibility for the accidents.
