Missouri school official brought police to Sandy Hatte, the woman who kidnapped her grandson over 10 years ago.

60-year-old Hatte kidnapped the child from his Florida home when he was an infant back in 2000. They were homeless for a while before a Chillicothe, MO man took them in to his house.

She recently attempted to enroll her grandson in a Livingston County, MO school. She claimed to be his mother, reported WDAF.

The official was skeptical and authorities believed that the child was taken while his father was at work.

They've only been in Missouri for a month prior to the arrest so it's very unclear where Hatte and her grandson have been since the kidnap.

After Hatte's arrest, the little boy was brought back to his father who lived in Alabama.

"It was a good reunion," Merconi said, according to Huffington Post. "You could tell within the first three minutes they hit it off pretty well. Since then, I've been on the phone with the dad and from what I'm understanding, it's going pretty well."

Hatte was arrested for suspicion of child abduction and her bail is $25,000.
