A Greyhound bus en route from Cincinnati, Ohio to Detroit, Michigan flipped over on its side at 3:48 a.m. early Saturday morning.
The bus was driving on Interstate 75 when it crashed about 25 miles north of Cincinnati. Out of the 51 passengers plus the driver on board, more than 30 people were injured.
According to Reuters, 28 of the injured were rushed away by ambulances and six were airlifted to hospitals. None of the injuries were thought to be life threatening, but four were critical.
NBC reports that authorities say the bus drove off the right side of the highway, crashed into a tree and a chain-link fence, and then overturned and slid to a stop in a cornfield.
The name of the driver was not released, but authorities say there was no sign that the driver was speeding before the crash. The exact cause of the crash is still being investigated.
As of mid-day Saturday, 16 people from the crash had been treated and released from the hospital.
