Dozens of homeless people were left stranded and unpaid after standing in line all night outside a Pasadena store to help someone buy a bunch of the latest iPhones.

One man, Dominoe Moody, said he was taken from a homeless center and promised $40 if he stood in line. Unfortunately after Moody handed the phone to the man, the guy was arrested Los Angeles Times reports.

Moody said, "It didn't go right. I stood out here all night" and had no way of getting back.

The Pasadena police said a fight broke out as people said they weren't being paid enough by the man. About 70 to 80 people were picked up in vans and brought to the store, but were now stranded.

"The need to bring him back ... to pick up the people that he brought here," Vivian Fields said. "We have no way to get home."

Meanwhile, U.K. networks are frustrated with being provided with very limited stock of the 5S, BBC News notes.

Apple claims the lack of iPhones is simply a result of their high demand. Though the other new model, the 5C, had more than enough supplies. A network spokesman feels the 5S is being released "drip-fed," while the 5C is readily made available.
