Their energetic This Is…Icona Pop album is the result of a bad breakup, constant partying and strong friendship. According to usatoday.com, the girls met when Jawo was dragged by her friend to one of the Hjelt’s many party that she threw, because she was frustrated over her music career.
Hjelt has said that: "It was love at first sight. If she had brought her boyfriend or if I was doing well with my music, we wouldn't have become what we are to each other. She's my soulmate."
