The trailer for Palo Alto starring James Franco and Emma Roberts, shown at the Telluride Film Festival over the weekend, is online.
The trailer was posted online by Vulture last Thursday, and it shows the 35-year-old actor portraying Roberts’ too interested soccer coach Mr. B as well as an intertwined story about some troubled boys.
The trailer shows Franco’s Mr. B kissing Roberts, while the boys crash a car, and cause mischief.
In addition to the story of Roberts and Franco, there is also the story of Teddy and Fred as they get into trouble, played by Jack Kilmer and Nat Wolff, respectively. Jack’s father, Val Kilmer, also makes a cameo as Roberts’ teacher.
According to E! Online, Palo Alto is based off of Franco’s published collection of short stories.
The film is being adapted by Francis Ford Coppola’s granddaughter, Gia Coppola, and it is her film directorial debut.
The 27 Hours actor turned to Indigogo.com to raise money for the film, though he did not reach the goal of $500,000.
