Jason Derulo got down on one knee and proposed to girlfriend Jordin Sparks. But not for real - just in his new music video for his latest single “Marry Me.”

The 23-year-old American Idol winner joins her real-life boyfriend in the video, where the couple spends most of its duration in bed, taking a bath or having a playful food fight in the kitchen. The video also features clips of flash forwards of the couple when they're older and still just as in love as they are presently.

Although the proposal may just live on screen, the 24-year-old R&B singer admitted that he does plan on popping the question to Sparks sometime in the future. In fact, he told E! News, "It is about Jordin, actually, and it's talking about how amazing it will be when I get down on one knee and it will be the greatest moment of my life."

While Derulo assured fans that him and Sparks are not engaged, he made it clear that the love between them in the video is definitely real. "You can't fake anything because true love is true love, and that's the basis of our relationship," he said.

According to the Daily Mail, the video was released on Monday. “Marry Me” is featured on Derulo's latest album, Tattoos.
