Jennifer Lopez is featured on the cover of the October issue of Cosmopolitan. And she looks HOT. While she clearly exerts her confidence, she admitted her long-time insecurities over her voice.

She may be one of the world's top-selling artists, but the star admitted she's had some doubts about her singing in the past, reports Celebuzz.

In an interview with Cosmopolitan, the mother of two admitted, “the biggest insecurity I had was my singing. Even though I had sold 70 million records, there was this feeling like, I’m not good at this.”

Apparently, ex-husband Marc Anthony helped her gain her confidence. “He helped me get over it. He kept telling me, ‘You’re the only one holding yourself back from reaching your full potential as a singer. You have to let go.’”

The 44 year old has now recognized that potential, and the realization has brought out fortitude in other aspects of her life. According to Hollywood Life, the confidence that Anthony instilled has transferred into Lopez's relationship with boyfriend Casper Smart and her commitment to him. It has even played a role in how she manages her businesses.

“I grew, little by little, and realized, wait a minute, this is not a fluke. I’m not a mistake – I work my ass off. And I know what I’m doing.”

She will join the American Idol judging panel once again this season.
