Chucky, everyone’s favorite killer doll, is back in Curse of Chucky, but he’s not the only member of the franchise back. Actress Jennifer Tilly has confirmed that she also appears in the sixth installment of the series.
Curse of Chucky is the first film in the series since 2004, but is not getting a theatrical release. Instead, it is going straight to DVD and Blu-ray on Oct. 8. It will be available individually and in a set with the previous five films.
Despite going straight to home video, the producers were still able to get Tilly, an Oscar-nominated actress, to appear in the film. "I mean, it was like coming home again," Tilly told USA Today on Tuesday. "The truth is out."
Tilly can be seen in the previous two Chucky movies, 1998’s Bride of Chucky and 2004’s Seed of Chucky. She also voiced the doll version of her Tiffany character in each film.
"It was really fun to drag out the push-up bra, the seven-inch heels and put on the blond wig again,” Tilly said. "Every 10 years or so they let me make another Chucky movie."
As E! News notes, in the film, Tiffany will do anything to her dead lover’s spirit. “There are people he forgot to kill and he's a perfectionist. He will not stop,” she said. “He's not going to stop painting the Sistine Chapel before he's finished. He's tying up loose ends.”
Curse of Chucky is now available on Video on Demand.
