Exciting casting news for fans of The Hunger Games; Golden Globe winning actress Julianne Moore has been officially announced to play President Alma Coin in Mockingjay parts one and two, the final films in The Hunger Games trilogy.

Moore’s addition to the cast joins recently announced Mockingjay castmember Natalie Dormer, who will play Cressida.

Moore will join forces with Jennifer Lawrence (Katniss), Josh Hutcherson (Peeta), and others as she the 52-year-old actress’ character is the leader of the rebel alliance who fights against dictator President Snow (Donald Sutherland), Reuters reports.

The Hunger Games: Catching Fire is set to premiere November 22, with new director Francis Lawrence. The final films, The Hunger Games-Mockingjay Part 1 and 2 are set to hit theaters November 2014 and November 2015 respectively.

Moore will also join high-profile co-stars Elizabeth Banks, Liam Hemsworth, Phillip Seymour Hoffman and Stef Dawson, who will play Finnick Odair’s love, Annie.

The longrunning actress’ other credits include Magnolia, The Big Lebowski and Crazy, Stupid, Love. to name a few.
