The long awaited Jurassic Park 4 has been renamed Jurassic World and will hit theaters June 12, 2015.

Universal Pictures officially announced a release date and the title, signaling that perhaps they are ready to move forward. The Hollywood Reporter notes that Steven Spielberg is not returning to the director chair for this film, but will be the producer, along with Frank Marshall and Pat Crowley.

According to the BBC the new release date is a year later than the originally planned 2014 one. Earlier this year the movie was put on hold because Universal felt that it needed to give "the studio and filmmakers adequate time to bring audiences the best possible version" of Jurassic World.

Back in March, Universal Pictures and Spielberg announced that Colin Trevorrow would be the director for the fourth film.

Trevorrow had told IGN that "This is not a paycheck gig for me... And it's not the movie that I'm making so that I can make the movies that I really want to make. I actually want to make a kick-ass Jurassic Park movie."
