Katy Perry released her new single “Dark Horse” Tuesday – the song is to be featured on her upcoming album, Prism.

USA Today reports that the song isn't actually an official single, but it was the song that fans chose for her next song. In August, Perry asked fans to vote on whether they wanted to hear “Dark Horse” or “Walking on Air” first. They obviously chose the former.

Juicy-J is featured singing with the “ET” star on the track. He is reportedly confident about their performance. "My verse I did on that song, she was singing it," Juicy told MTV. "She's really a genius, she was by the mixing board and telling the guy what to take in and take out. She's really hands on with her music, she knows music."

Although it's quite different from her previous single “Roar,” this song is very clearly a Katy Perry original. When asked about her new single, Perry said, "it's got me, a pop artist, with a little bit of an urban kind of hip-hop-flavored background soundtrack to it."

After battling with technical issues with iTunes, Perry first released the song via Twitter late Tuesday night.

Perry's album Dark Horse is set to be released October 22. What do you think of the song?
