Katy Perry released her latest hit song, “Roar,” just weeks ago and on Thursday the pop princess released the official music video to accompany the song.
In the video, Perry is obviously disheveled after a plane crash, left alone with her self-centered beau, The Hollywood Reporter reveals. Walking through the jungle, Perry scampers slowly behind her boyfriend and takes the reminder of the bug spray and then gets mauled by a tiger.
Perry later proves her own ferocious side, out-roaring a tiger, swinging on vines and sporting a necklace which reads “Kitty Purry.” Perry also makes a friend in a monkey.
When Perry first released “Roar,” she used a video built entirely of emoticons to showcase the catchy tune. She later performed the song at the MTV Video Music Awards.
“Roar” is featured on her upcoming album, Prism, slated to hit the shelves Oct. 22.
THR notes that “Roar” has since hit number 1 on the Billboard Hot 100.
